Construction Of Bhogapuram Airport On Fast Pace: To Be Completed By December 2025

The construction work of Bhogapuram International Airport is going at a fast pace. It is at the helm of the development of Andhra Pradesh. It is known that CM Jagan performed Bhumi Puja on May 3 this year and formally started the construction work; it is being built with 5 thousand crores. To this extent, YRSCP officials have recently inspected the works. The development works are proof of CM Jagan’s sincerity towards the progress of AP.

Inspection Of Development

State Industries and Infrastructure Development Minister Gudivada Amarnath said that Bhogapuram International Airport will be completed by December 2025. To this extent, Uttarandhra Coordinator YV Subbareddy, Deputy Chief Minister Budi Muthyala Naidu, Deputy Speaker Kolagatla Veerabhadra Swamy, ZP Chairman Majji Srinivasa Rao, MPs Bellana Chandrasekhar, MVV Satyanarayana and MLAs inspected the works.

Ongoing Runway Works

At present, a 23 km long runway and a 3.08 km long runway for landing heavy aircraft are being built. The YRSCP leaders said that no changes had been made in the tender schedule prepared during the previous government’s tenure, and 500 acres of the acquired land have been allocated for the IT corridor. Similarly, a connecting road is being constructed on the Chennai-Kolkata national highway from Visakhapatnam to Srikakulam and Odisha border areas so that passengers can go directly to the airport. For this, 25 acres of land have been acquired, and 18 crores of compensation have been paid. The GMR company is constructing a special electricity substation for the airport and special staff quarters for the officers and staff working in various positions at the airport.
