BJP Contemplates Nominating Chiranjeevi for Rajya Sabha Seat from Uttar Pradesh

BJP Focuses on Strengthening Grip in State, Collaborates with Janasena, and Boosts Own Strength. As part of its strategy, it is reported that the BJP is considering electing Chiranjeevi to the Rajya Sabha. Rajya Sabha elections will be held in 15 states soon. The schedule for these elections has already been released. A maximum of 10 Rajya Sabha seats are going to be vacant in Uttar Pradesh. BJP leadership hopes to send Chiranjeevi to the Rajya Sabha from there. At Present, Telangana BJP leader Dr. Laxman is representing the Rajya Sabha from Uttar Pradesh.

Chiranjeevi previously served as a Rajya Sabha member and worked as a Minister in the UPA-2 government. Chiranjeevi also has experience serving as the Union Minister of Tourism. Since the BJP formed the government Chiranjeevi stayed away from politics and focused on films. It has become interesting to see whether Chiranjeevi will accept the BJP’s offer or not. It is known that the Central Government has announced the Padma Vibhushan award for Chiranjeevi.
