Telangana Assembly Speaker: Gaddam Prasad Kumar Unanimously Elected

Protem Receiver Akbaruddin Owaisi officially announced Vikarabad MLA Gaddam Prasad Kumar as Speaker of Telangana Assembly. CM, Ministers, ruling MLAs and opposition MLAs congratulated the Speaker.

Gaddam Prasad Kumar was unanimously elected as Telangana Speaker. Gaddam Prasad Kumar, a senior leader in the Congress party, has also worked as a minister in the United Andhra Pradesh. At that time, Prasad Kumar was the Minister of Handloom and Small Scale Industries. Born in Marpalli village of Vikarabad district in 1964, Prasad Kumar studied till intermediate in Tandoor.

During the Telangana movement, he contested from the Vikarabad constituency in the by-elections held in 2008 and won as a candidate of the Congress party. After that, he won the 2009 election as well. In 2012, Kiran Kumar Reddy worked as the Minister of Handloom and Small Scale Industries.
