Telangana Government Announces New Guidelines for Indiramma Housing Scheme!

The state government has taken a crucial decision regarding the Indiramma Housing scheme, deciding to provide financial assistance of Rs. 5 lakhs to the beneficiaries in four stages. CM Revanth Reddy is set to launch the Indiramma Housing scheme in Bhadrachalam on the 11th of this month. The government aims to construct 4.50 lakh houses every year, allocating a total of 4,16,500 houses to 119 assembly segments, with 3,500 houses per segment. The remaining houses will be reserved under the state reserve quota as per the government’s decision.

The financial assistance for the construction of Indiramma houses will be disbursed in four stages:

  • Rs. 1 lakh at the foundation level
  • Rs. 1 lakh at the roof level
  • Rs. 2 lakhs after the completion of the roofing
  • Rs. 1 lakh upon the overall completion of the construction

Eligible candidates for the scheme include:

  • Beneficiaries are selected based on the ration card.
  • The beneficiary must be below the Poverty Line (BPL).
  • The beneficiary must have their own land or have been provided land by the government.
  • Selection as a beneficiary is possible even if living in a joint family after marriage.
  • Even those living in rented houses can be beneficiaries.
  • Single women and widows can be beneficiaries.
  • Those living in huts or houses with thatched roofs or mud walls are eligible for the scheme.
  • Indiramma houses will be registered in the names of women.
