Vijayashanti Joins Congress, Says ‘Congress, the only alternative..’

Due to the proximity of assembly elections in Telangana politics is becoming juicier by the day. Yesterday, film actress and former MP Vijayashanti rejoined the Congress party. On Friday, in the presence of AICC President Mallikarjuna Kharge at Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad, she joined Congress. Leaders are expressing the opinion that with the arrival of Vijayashanti in the Congress, the party will be strengthened. It is known that she had earlier moved to BJP from Congress. Recently, Vijayashanti resigned from the post of BJP national executive committee member and basic membership of the BJP party. Later this resignation letter was sent to the party state president Kishan Reddy. Since Kishan Reddy took charge of the state presidency, she has been angry with the way the party has behaved. Addressing the former CM of Andhra Pradesh Kirankumar Reddy, she posted on X (Twitter) that she had to share the stage with the opponents of Telangana. Since then Vijayashanti has been staying away from BJP.

‘Will confine KCR to farmhouse..’

Former minister Vijayashanti spoke to the media after joining the Congress party. She said that Congress is the alternative to BRS in Telangana and she has joined Congress to limit KCR to the farmhouse. However, she entered politics in 1998 and first joined the BJP. Later, in 2005, she founded a political party named Talli Telangana. In 2009, she merged it with the then-TRS party. She said goodbye to BRS after winning the Medak Lok Sabha seat and joined Congress in 2014. She joined the BJP in 2020 for some reasons and has now again joined the Congress.
