Kane Williamson’s Century Streak in Test Cricket

Former New Zealand captain Kane Williamson has achieved a rare feat in cricket. He scored a century in both innings of the first test against South Africa at home and repeated the same in the second test. This achievement puts him ahead of Australia’s star batsman Steve Smith, who holds the record for the fastest to 32 centuries in Test cricket. Williamson reached this milestone in fewer innings than Smith, completing 32 centuries in 172 innings compared to Smith’s 174 innings.

In the first Test against South Africa, when Kane Williamson scored a century in the first innings, it marked a significant moment as he surpassed the records of Virat Kohli, a member of the Fab 4, along with cricket legend Don Bradman. Following that, former England captain Joe Root also achieved his 31st century in the second innings. If the Kiwis manage to score 21 more runs in this match, they will secure a series victory of 2-0. Currently, the Kiwis have scored 250 runs for the loss of 3 wickets, with Williamson (118) and Will Young (57) still batting.
