Bhagavanth Kesari is the latest movie of tollywood hero Nandamuri Balakrishna after hits like Akhanda and Veerasimha Reddy. This movie has been directed by Anil Ravipudi, who is known as a successful director with a series of hits. As it is a movie coming in the combination of these two, there are already high expectations among the fans. The songs, teaser, and trailer from this film got a good response from the audience. Did Balakrishna hit a hat trick with this movie? How is this movie? Let us see how much it impressed the audience in this review.

Story:

At the beginning of the movie, Bhagavanth Kesari (Balakrishna) is seen in jail. The ruling party wants to kill Ratan Shukla, a businessman who is in that jail, within the jail itself. The jailer (Sarath Kumar) who came to take charge as a jailer that day tries to save Shukla. But Bhagavanth saves him before the jailer arrives. Since then, Bhagavanth gets closer to the jailer. While Bhagavanth’s mother is dying due to illness, the jailer takes the hero to his village and helps him to pay his last respects. But the jailer is suspended for taking Bhagavanth without permission. In this background, Bhagavanth will make necessary arrangements for his release from jail on August 15. Then the jailer dies in an unexpected accident. In this context, who is the little baby Vijayalakshmi alias Vijji papa (Sreeleela) with the hero? Why does Hero try to make Vijji join the army? What is the relationship between psychologist Kathyayini (Kajal) and the hero? What is the enmity between the villain Rahul Sanghvi (Arjun Rampal) and the hero? To know the answers, you will need to watch the movie.

Screenplay-Analysis:

Director Anil Ravipudi tried to give a good message that girls should always stand up boldly in front of society. He took a lot of time to go into the original story in the first half. Most of the time was spent on scenes like Vijji papa preparing for the army, her rejections, heroine Kajal scenes, etc. Against this backdrop, Sreeleela acted very well in the scene where she says she does not want to join the army and brings the family of the boy she loves to her house to talk about marriage. She then tells Balakrishna to leave her alone because she does not want to join the army. After listening to the villain’s name in a fight with goons, the hero recollects his previous encounter with the villain. The audience understands that there was some enmity between the villain and the hero in the past. The director succeeded in creating interest in the second half.

The highlight of the movie is the scene in the second half where Bhagavanth goes to the house of the boy who harasses Sreeleela. There he warns the boy and his father revealing his past. The scene where he goes to the villain’s house and gives a warning is also exciting. The fight scene in the forest is also eye-catching. The movie touches upon the point that every mother should tell her daughter what is a good touch and what is a bad touch. However, the audience who would think that the pace of the story will increase after the first half will be disappointed. Here, the audience expects that the hero and the villain will face off against each other in a series of maneuvers outdoing each other. But without any of these, the hero and the villain just go with their lives. In this background, Arjun Rampal kidnaps Sreeleela and Kajal in the course of the movie. Sreeleela fought well in the climax fight. It seems like two superstars are fighting. But the audience can predict the twists that will come in this movie.

Cast Performance:

Hero Balakrishna impressed with his acting and punchy dialogues. If you are a fan of Balakrishna, his dialogues and fights will please you. Sreeleela has shown excellent performance in some scenes. The scenes where her lover tells how much Balakrishna struggled for her are pleasing. In the end, when Balakrishna and Sreeleela fight, it seems like two superstars are fighting. Kajal acted as per her character even though her role was not very important. Arjun Rampal’s performance as the villain is good. Sarath Kumar, Raghubabu, John Vijay, VTV Ganesh, and Brahmaji have acted within their limits.

Technical Departments:

Anil Ravipudi’s comedy dialogues are hilarious in some scenes. It is known that he wrote this movie keeping Balakrishna in mind. SS Thaman’s music is good. The cinematography and editing by C. Ram Prasad and Tammiraju respectively are commendable. The production of Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi on the banner of Shine Screens is at high standards.

Plus Points:

Balakrishna’s acting, dialogues

Sreeleela’s performance

Climax scenes

Movie’s Plot

Emotions

Minus Points:

Some scenes in the first half

Some routine scenes

Punchline: Bhagavanth Kesari will only last till the festival.
