Andhra Cricket Association to Construct International Cricket Ground in Visakhapatnam

A new international cricket stadium is being built in Visakhapatnam, announced by the Secretary of Andhra Cricket Association, SR Gopinath Reddy. He emphasized the rising popularity of cricket and the need for a larger venue, as the current YSR Cricket Stadium has a capacity of less than 27,000.

The Andhra Cricket Association announced plans to lay the foundation stone for a new stadium in Visakhapatnam, which will have a seating capacity of 50,000. Additionally, an indoor stadium will be developed at the B ground of the Visakha Stadium, and cricket grounds will be established in each district and zone. IPL matches scheduled for March will also be held in Visakhapatnam, and large-scale school cricket leagues will soon be organized across 175 constituencies, providing opportunities for around 20,000 young cricketers to showcase their talent.
