AP CID files Petition for NBW to arrest Nara Lokesh!

Important developments are taking place in Andhra Pradesh politics. As the elections are approaching, new aspects are coming to the fore. The CID has filed a petition in the Vijayawada ACB court seeking permission to arrest TDP chief Chandrababu’s son Nara Lokesh, who is accused of the Inner Ring Road (IRR) land scam. To this extent, the CID said that former minister and TDP leader Lokesh, who received the notices given under Section 41A of the CrPC, deliberately violated the conditions.

Threats to officials!

The CID said that Nara Lokesh is threatening the police, witnesses and the investigating officers of the Chandrababu case in the name of ‘Red Book’. Similarly, it strongly objected to the announcements that the investigating officers would be sent to jail. To this extent, the court has been asked to seriously consider the threats being made in the name of Red Book. The CID also stated that Lokesh made allegations in interviews given to various channels to damage the reputation of the judiciary. Taking these into consideration, the CID asked to give permission for his arrest. It seems that the authorities are thinking of questioning him and arresting him. But Nara Lokesh can also apply for anticipatory bail. If this is the case, there will be no opportunity to question him. So if an NBW is issued, CID is trying to arrest and take him into custody and interrogate him.

Suspense over the Court’s verdict

The CID alleged that Nara Lokesh was behind the changes in the alignments of the Inner Ring Road project that was planned to be constructed in Amaravati during the TDP government. But Nara Lokesh is alleging that there is no real ring road in the IRR case, no land acquisition and they are trying to damage the election preparations. But it is interesting to see what kind of judgment the court will give on this.
