AP CM’s Lightning Response, Compensation To Harbour Victims

People received YS Jagan’s slogan during his padayatra, ‘I have heard! I am here!’ very intensely with a lot of trust. In the same manner, Jagan is also standing by their side wherever a danger comes. CM Jagan assured the victims of boats burnt in the fire at the Visakha fishing harbour recently that they will provide 80 percent compensation to them. Not just talks, Jagan provided compensation to all victims immediately. Fishermen are elated as compensation is being provided faster than ever before.

Compensation Of Rs.7.11 Crores

CM Jagan took the initiative to provide compensation just within four days of the incident, in a manner no one expected. CM Jagan immediately responded after learning about the incident of the Visakha Fishing Harbour fire. Ministers were sent to the accident site to stand by the fishermen. The government has announced a special financial assistance of Rs.7.11 crore for the 49 boats that caught fire without the fishermen getting discouraged. Rs.6.44 crore as part of 80 per cent compensation for 30 boats that were completely burnt, Rs.66.96 lakhs for 18 partially burnt boats and nets. Also, considering 10 people per boat, a total of 490 people have been given financial assistance at the rate of Rs.10,000 each under a one-time settlement. Similarly, he announced that the old diesel subsidy arrears of approximately Rs.5.50 crore, from the time of Chandrababu’s government, will be paid to the fishermen soon. According to the request of the fishermen, the government has decided to pay subsidies for biodegradable oil as well.

Subsidy For Manufacture Of Steel Boats

Ministers Seediri Appalaraju, Gudivada Amarnath, Regional Coordinator YV Subba Reddy and MP Mopidevi Venkataramana were furious that some people raised slogans against the CM after the Visakha Fishing Harbour accident. But CM Jagan has ordered to pay 80 percent quickly beyond politics. But when they came asking for compensation, the CM ordered to give Rs.10 thousand per head immediately. Additionally, they mentioned that the government has allocated Rs.150 crores for the modernization of the fishing harbour and then gave the latest 60 percent subsidy for the manufacture of steel boats. The Ministers revealed that up to 75 percent subsidy will be given for longliners as soon as they apply.
