AP election schedule announced: Sr citizens can vote from home!

The general election has been announced in AP. The Central Election Commission has announced the election dates for the states of AP, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim. The election notification will be released on April 18. The deadline for nominations is April 25, scrutiny is on April 26, and withdrawal of nominations is on April 29. Election officials have announced that polling in AP and Telangana will be held on May 13 and counting on June 4.

AP elections in one phase

Elections to 175 Assembly seats and 25 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh will be held in a single phase, said AP Chief Electoral Officer Mukesh Kumar Meena. He said that polling will be held in more than 46 thousand polling centres for this purpose. He said that if the voter’s identity card is not available, they can exercise the right to vote by showing any of the 12 types of identity cards. Minimum facilities will be provided in every polling station. But this time, he said, the elderly people who are over 85 years old are being given the opportunity to vote at home.

YSRCP sets its sights on winning all 175 Assembly seats!

The ruling party YSRCP has prepared plans with the aim of winning 175 seats. It is known that YSRCP announced candidates for 175 Assembly and 24 Lok Sabha seats today. Meanwhile, in the 2019 elections, YSRCP won 151 seats out of 175 assembly constituencies. TDP won 23 seats while Janasena won one seat. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, YSRCP won 22 out of 25 seats in AP, while TDP won 3 seats.
