AP Government’s Boost To Job Creation: 1.5 Lakh New Jobs

AP CM YS Jagan’s administration is continuing with one eye on welfare and one eye on development. Whatever decision Jagan takes becomes sensational. Many welfare schemes have already been introduced in the state and are being implemented successfully. In addition, with the aim of reducing unemployment in the state, he proposed to give 75 percent quota of industrial jobs to the local youth previously. It is known that about two lakh rural volunteer jobs have been announced as part of the job creation for the unemployed. Jagan Sarkar is taking steps to provide employment to another 1.47 lakh people.

Government Encouragement

New industries are being set up in the state with the encouragement of the government. As part of the Global Investors Conference in Visakhapatnam in March, the government made 386 deals worth Rs.13.11 lakh crore. Meanwhile, out of the construction works of 111 units worth Rs.1.35 lakh crore, manufacturing has already started in 24 units with Rs.5,530 crore. Around 16,908 people got employment due to this. Also, another 87 units are under construction at a cost of Rs.1,29,832 crore. If these become available, another 1,31,816 people will get employment. Also, more than 12 projects belonging to industries, food processing and energy sectors have been developed. About 5 thousand people will get direct employment through these.

New Industries In The State

Development of industrial parks and construction of a flatted factory complex will be started at 18 places across the state at a cost of Rs.263 crores. HPCL is going to set up a solar power project in the Sathyasai district with a cost of Rs.700 crores. The government has encouraged Avera company in Nunna of NTR district to start construction works of scooter battery storage units with Rs.100 crores. Also, 4 ports, 10 fishing harbours and 6 fishing ponds will be established with Rs.20 thousand crores. Additionally, Sigachi Industries will inaugurate a Rs.280 crore pharma unit at Orvakal in Kurnool district and a Rs.90 crore nutraceuticals manufacturing unit by RPS Industries. Officials are working to start production of JSW cement at Nandyala with a cost of Rs.550 crore.

AP Is Leading In All Fields

AP is the first state in the country to spend 56 percent of the budget allocation (Rs. 72,622 crores) on education, health, welfare and rural development. AP stood second among the states where 54 percent of the development expenditure was spent on public welfare. Similarly, in Ease of Doing Business, AP has been No.1 for the last three years. This October, after Gujarat (Rs.25,685 crores), AP (Rs.19,187 crores) stood second among the states with the highest investment. Also, earlier the industrial growth rate was 22nd with 3.2 percent. After Jagan took charge, it stood third in the country with a growth rate of 12.8 percent. Similarly, Andhra Pradesh stood at 1st place in GSDC index in 2021-22 and 9th position in per capita income of the state.
