AP Govt: Rs 3000 pension from January and packed program schedule

AP government has prepared the field for granting new pensions under social pension. CM Jagan announced that the present pension of Rs 2,750 will be made Rs 3000 from January as a gift in the form of YSR Pension. It is known that as per the promise given in the election, the pension provided by the government to senior citizens, widows, handloom workers, stone cutters, fishermen, single women, tanners and HIV patients is being increased step by step. Currently, there are 66,34,742 beneficiaries across the state. Rs 1,968 crore will be allocated to provide pensions to all of them. As a part of this, CM Jagan spoke about the implementation of the YSR pension, Cheyutha and Aasara schemes and the inauguration of the Ambedkar statue. He said that the government has brought welfare programs so that the poor can stand on their own feet along with giving proper avenues to all the classes.

Ambedkar statue unveiling on January 19th

AP CM Jagan said that the Ambedkar statue will be unveiled in Vijayawada on January 19 to reflect social justice. The unveiling of the 125-foot statue of Ambedkar is a gift that will remain in history. Similarly, the YSR Aasara program will be organized from January 23 to 31 to financially support the women of savings societies. 78.94 lakh women will be benefited through this program and Rs 6,400 crore will be paid to them. In addition, 26.39 lakh people belonging to SC, ST, BC and minorities will benefit from February 5 to 14 under the Cheyutha scheme. Similarly, the CM revealed that Seva Mitra, Seva Ratna and Seva Vajra awards will be presented to the volunteers, who have rendered the best services, on February 15 and 16. The winners will be given a prize of Rs 10 thousand at the secretariat level, Rs 15 thousand at the mandal level, Rs 20 thousand at the constituency level and Rs 25 thousand at the district level.

Pensions for an additional 1.7 lakh people

Jagan said that as part of re-verification, the biannual program is being conducted on January 5 for those who are eligible and are left behind. As part of this, pensions will be given to an additional 1.7 lakh people on January 1. He said that their government has become a new name for reliability and all public representatives should participate in the pension gift program. He said he will participate in the pension program on January 3 in Kakinada. He said that no government cares so much about senior citizens as much as they do. He said that they are delivering pensions directly to homes while protecting their self-respect. He said that there is no government anywhere in the country that is providing more pensions with the volunteer system. As this program will be held for 8 days, he advised MLAs in each mandal to take the initiative.
