AP: Neerabh Kumar Prasad Appointed as New Chief Secretary
Interesting developments are taking place in Andhra Pradesh following the assembly election results. There have been significant administrative changes ahead of Chandrababu’s swearing-in as Chief Minister. Jawahar Reddy, who served as the Chief Secretary (CS) of the AP Government, was placed on leave earlier and subsequently transferred. Senior IAS officer Nirabh Kumar Prasad has now been appointed as the new CS. Orders to this effect have been issued.

Neerabh Kumar, from the 1987 batch, currently serves as the Special Principal Secretary of the State Department of Environment, Forests, and Science and Technology. After the election results were declared, Neerabh Kumar Prasad met with Chandrababu Babu on Wednesday. On the same day, CS Jawahar Reddy also held a respectful meeting with Chandrababu. With it clear that Jawahar Reddy had no intention to continue, he sent a letter to the GAD Secretary on Wednesday, stating he was taking leave. This facilitated the appointment of a new CS.
