AP’s Investment in Knowledge: Jagan Announces Major Funding for Education

CM Jagan asked the people to think about the damage that would happen if he stepped down from power. In a meeting held in Pamarru, Krishna district, Jagan pressed a button to deposit Vidya Deevena and Vasathi Deevena funds into the accounts of students’ mothers. He then spoke, stating that a total of 9,44,666 students would benefit from Rs. 708 crores. So far, Rs. 12,609 crores have been spent under this scheme. He warned that if Jagan does not come back to power in the upcoming elections, the education of children and welfare schemes would all come to a halt. Specifically, government schools would lose English medium instruction, and the Arogya Sri scheme would become ineffective. He mentioned that the lives of farmers and women would be severely impacted. He asserted that Jagan was the only one fighting for the poor and asked for votes for Jagan if any good had happened in their homes.

Campaigning with Lies

Jagan stated that Chandrababu is lying about giving a kg of gold and a Benz car to every household, and advised not to believe such falsehoods. He questioned whether Chandrababu ever attempted to change the future of poor children. He mentioned that after YSRCP came into power, they have transformed the schools through the Nadu-Nedu program to provide students with international-level education. As part of this, they introduced English medium in government schools, but the opposition is criticizing this move. Consequently, Jagan said that they have to fight against Chandrababu, Ramoji, Radhakrishna, TV5, and the Pawan Kalyan.

Tablets Lead to Deterioration

Jagan mentioned that Chandrababu and Pawan criticize when the government provides tablets to students. They argue that while the children of landlords can have tablets, giving them to poor people would supposedly spoil them. He said the mentality of the landlords is that they believe that the children of the poor should always remain poor. He questioned if Chandrababu ever cared for government schools or if he had accomplished even a fraction of what Jagan had done. He stated that mentioning Chandrababu’s name brings up many wrongs he has done, and now, as they are doing good for the children, Chandrababu and co. are waging a war against them.
