AP’s Priceless Education Asset: What Sets It Apart and Can’t Be Taken Away?

Under the leadership of CM YS Jagan, significant reforms have been implemented to bolster public education, including extensive changes in the education system. Initiatives such as Nadu-Nedu, the introduction of English medium, bilingual textbooks, English dictionaries, CBSE syllabus integration, distribution of tablets with Byju’s content, installation of IFP panels, smart TVs, the introduction of subject teachers, and the concept of ” Jagananna Gorumudda” have been undertaken. Even corporate educational institutions embrace the educational reforms of CM Jagan.

Transformed Schools Overview:

Previously, government schools were characterized by dilapidated buildings, cracked walls, broken desks, and leaky classrooms. The introduction of the Nadu-Nedu program under CM Jagan’s leadership has dramatically altered the landscape of these schools. In the initial phase, 15,713 schools received ten infrastructure facilities at a cost of Rs. 3,669 crore in 2020-21. In the second phase (2022-23), the state government allocated Rs. 8,000 crores for infrastructure development and additional classrooms in 22,344 schools, junior colleges, and foundation schools.

Positive Outcomes:

CM Jagan places a high priority on student education, which is evident in schemes like Jagananna Ammavodi and Jagananna Vidya Kanuka. Financial security for parents has led to increased enrollment in government schools. At the same time, programs such as tablet distribution to 8th-grade students and the implementation of multilingual systems for 9th and 10th-grade students have contributed to a 100% increase in attendance in many districts. Officials report that over 1.49 lakh students who previously dropped out have re-enrolled in schools.
