APSTRC good news to passengers: Discount on tickets!

APSRTC has given good news to the passengers by announcing a discount on the ticket charges for passengers going to distant places. APSRTC has decided to give a 10% discount on tickets in Lahari AC sleeper and seater cum sleeper buses. RTC officials said that this concession will be applicable till April 30 on all routes plying by Lahari buses. TDP has already promised to provide free bus travel for women in AP as well, in the backdrop of free bus travel for women in Telangana.

But in AP, RTC has been merged with the government, while in Telangana, RTC continues to be a corporation. The free bus travel scheme for women is getting mixed response in Telangana. CM Revanth Reddy promised to support the auto drivers and taxi drivers who protested that they would lack employment. And, amidst all these negatives, we have to wait and see whether there will be a free bus travel scheme for women in AP or not.
