Collector M. Harinarayanan has ordered officials to close all chicken centres and poultry farms within a ten-kilometre radius of the area for three days where the chickens died. People have been advised not to let chickens out and not to bring any in from other areas for 15 days from those regions. They have requested that any deceased chickens be buried properly in the ground instead of being disposed of in trash heaps. Sanitation staff have been instructed to regularly carry out the sanitization process within the vicinity of those villages.
