Chandrababu’s Letter To PM: ‘Announce Cyclone Michaung As Natural Disaster’

TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking him to help the people of the state who have suffered severe losses due to Cyclone Michaung. It was informed that crops were damaged on 22 lakh acres, and as a result, crop loss was up to 10 thousand crore rupees. In the letter, he told Prime Minister Modi that there has been loss of life and limb. In view of the severity of the storm, he asked to declare the Michaung cyclone a national disaster and provide help.

Six People Died

It is said that the storm has had a severe impact on 15 districts of the state. It is alleged that the winds blowing at a speed of 100 km have damaged people’s lives. In a letter, Chandrababu informed Prime Minister Modi that six lives had been lost due to the storm. Crops were destroyed, cattle died in many places, and trees were broken.

Send A Team From Center

It was explained that about 770 km of roads were severely damaged. Drinking water, irrigation, electricity and communication sectors were destroyed. The impact of the cyclone was not limited to Andhra Pradesh alone. He reminded the PM that it has also affected neighbouring Tamil Nadu. A team was asked to be sent from the central government to assess the damage caused by the storm.
