Chandrababu’s Strategy: Aligning with BJP for Political Advantage

As the elections draw closer in AP, political tensions are rising. Important shifts are occurring as the elections approach in two months. As the elections approached, Chandrababu, who had earlier refused to team up with the BJP, changed his mind. Surveys suggest that the political winds may favor the ruling party in the upcoming elections. As part of this, reports indicate that Chandrababu has reversed course to seek an alliance with the BJP. His sudden trip to Delhi and meeting with BJP leaders, despite the party having minimal support in the region, has sparked discussions.

Babu is Ready to Offer any Number of Positions

The BJP aims for 20-15 MLA seats and 8-10 MP seats in alliance with the TDP, surpassing their 2014 victory of 4 Assembly and 2 Parliament seats. They target Visakhapatnam, Narshapuram, Rajahmundry, Eluru, and Kakinada seats. Chandrababu is reluctant to give up these seats. If Jagan wins again, he may prioritize unresolved legal matters. Despite BJP’s anticipated national victory, Chandrababu seeks an alliance for self-preservation.

Political Drama with the BJP

Chandrababu is seeking an alliance with the BJP despite having very little vote bank in AP. This move is driven by factors such as the BJP’s power at the center and Chandrababu’s belief in the importance of political influence during elections. Facing legal challenges like the skill development scam, Amaravati Inner Ring Road case, and Fibernet scam, Chandrababu sees aligning with the BJP as a potential solution. However, the BJP’s response to this proposal remains uncertain.
