This incentive, intended to enhance volunteer engagement in the distribution process, will be disbursed separately by the Civil Supplies Department, supplementing the existing Rs.5,000 monthly honorarium. While the decision was made in a recent review chaired by CM Jagan, details regarding the timeline for implementing the increased remuneration are yet to be clarified. Despite facing criticism from the opposition, the volunteer system introduced by CM Jagan’s government continues ambitiously.
