CM Jagan Initiates Biggest Tournament In Country: ‘Aadudham Andhra’ From December 15

AP government has opened a sports competition in the state. Jagan’s government is gearing up to organize sports competitions like never before in the country under the name of ‘Aadudham Andhra’. In an unprecedented manner in the history of sports, an ‘open meet’ is being conducted so that all (men and women) above 15 years of age can participate in the competition. Registrations for these competitions in various sports have started yesterday. Eligible sportspersons are given the option to register their details at village/ward secretariats or through the 1902 toll-free line. These competitions will be held from December 15 to February 3 in five phases from the village/ward secretariat level. At each stage, the talent of the sportspersons will be highlighted, and the winners will be honoured with certificates, mementoes and cash awards. A total of Rs.12 crore prize money will be provided for these sports competitions. Meanwhile, spectators watching sports competitions have also been given an opportunity to register on the website.

Sports Festival

As part of the first phase, a total of 1.50 lakh matches will be played in 15,004 village/ward secretariats in which 34.20 lakh people will play. After that, 17.10 lakh people participated in 1.42 lakh matches in 680 mandals, where the winning teams will compete in the constituency competitions. 77,520 in 5,250 matches in 175 constituencies, where the winners will play 19,950 in 312 matches in 26 districts. 2,964 players are scheduled to compete in 250 matches at the state level with the district-level winners. Meanwhile, the finals are likely to be held in Visakhapatnam. A total of 52.31 lakh people will participate in the sports festival in various phases.

CM Jagan posted on Twitter(X), “We are organizing matches in every state secretariat. This program is an excellent opportunity for the youth to develop their sporting talent and become national sports champions.” CM Jagan expressed his happiness to announce the most extensive sports tournament ‘Aadudham Andhra’ program in the state.
