CM Jagan’s Review On Coronavirus Spread: Gives Instructions To Follow

CM Jagan convened a meeting with officials at the camp office to discuss the proliferation of the new variant of COVID-19. In response to the spread of the JN-1 variant, directives have been issued to authorities for prompt intervention. Officials reassured the CM that concerns regarding the JN-1 variant are relatively low, citing cases where infected individuals are recovering without complications. While lacking symptoms akin to the delta variant, JN-1 is characterized by rapid spread. Testing for symptoms is underway in government hospitals, with positive samples analyzed at the Vijayawada Genome Lab to identify new variants.

In addition, rapid testing kits are being deployed at village and ward secretariats, and hospitals are equipped with personal care kits and essential medications. Oxygen infrastructure is being readied as part of preemptive measures, including operational PSA plants for immediate use. Officials briefed the CM on the preparedness of oxygen concentrators, D-type cylinders, and 56,741 ready-to-use oxygen beds.
