Empowering Women Financially: CM YS Jagan Launches ‘EBC Nestham’ Scheme

CM YS Jagan stated that decentralization of development is the government’s aim and reiterated the commitment to establish the High Court in Kurnool. He made these remarks after performing the land pooja for the National Law University in the Kurnool district on Thursday. He mentioned that the decision to establish a High Court was made during the time of relocating the capital to Hyderabad. Asserting that the steps are being taken as per the Sri Bagh Pact, he said that this initiative would ensure justice for the region and that the National Law University would contribute to this cause. Additionally, he announced that buildings for NHRC, Lokayukta, and High Court would be constructed, and Rs. 1000 crores have been allocated for the Law University. Later, he proceeded to Banaganapalle.

Poverty Knows No Caste

CM Jagan stated that poverty knows no caste. He inaugurated the EBC Nestham photo gallery at the meeting venue in Banaganapalle, Nandyal district. Speaking later, he clarified that YSR EBC is not just an electoral promise but a program aimed at supporting the poor, emphasizing that the government should have a big heart and the will to support the needy. He said the scheme was introduced to ensure no one suffers due to poverty, benefiting poor women significantly. By implementing this scheme, economically backward OBCs were supported. He also mentioned that the benefits were provided without considering the beneficiaries’ political affiliations, ensuring that all eligible groups receive the aid.

Depositing Rs. 629.37 Crores

CM Jagan announced that to support women in becoming financially independent, Rs. 629.37 crores have been released into the accounts of 4,19,583 sisters across the state. Overall, in three phases, 4 lakh 95 thousand individuals have benefited. Through the YSR EBC scheme, only Rs. 1,877 crores could be utilized to do good, and 65 thousand new individuals are receiving this aid. He expressed his hope that this scheme would benefit everyone. Subsequently, he pressed a button to release the funds. Earlier, at the meeting venue in Banaganapalle, he paid tribute by laying a floral wreath at the statue of YSR.
