Former Cricketer Ambati Rayudu Joins YSRCP, Criticises Chandrababu and Pawan

Former Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu has formally joined the YSR Congress party in a ceremony held at the CM’s camp office in Tadepalli. CM Jagan adorned Rayudu with the party scarf, symbolizing his affiliation with the YSRCP. Following the ceremony, Rayudu expressed his enthusiasm for venturing into his “second innings” in politics and conveyed his happiness in becoming a part of the YSRCP. He commended CM Jagan’s transparent governance.

Rayudu’s entry into the political arena suggests that he may contest as the YSRCP candidate from the Guntur Lok Sabha constituency. Shortly after joining the party, he criticized TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan. Rayudu questioned the credibility of Chandrababu and Pawan, noting their repeated criticism of welfare schemes and challenging them to explain how they would implement more such schemes. He emphasized that people are well-informed and will support those they trust. Rayudu stated that he joined the YSRCP with the goal of contributing to the welfare of the people in his region.
