Is KCR’s Defeat A Lesson To YS Jagan? What’s His Plan For AP Polls?

After the formation of Telangana state, assembly elections were held in 2014 and the TRS party came to power by winning 63 seats out of 119 seats. After that when elections were to be held in 2018, CM KCR went for early elections. As a result, BRS won a total of 88 seats in the elections held in 2018. Congress was limited to 19 seats in these elections. When it comes to the 2023 elections, BRS is limited to 39 seats. Congress won 64 constituencies and formed the government.

Is it KCR’s mistake?

However, it is known that the main reason for the BRS party’s defeat in the 2023 election is the public opposition to MLAs of that party. The president of that party, KCR, who did not listen to the surveys that said that they were not popular among the people, gave an opportunity to almost all sitting MLAs. It is unclear whether it was KCR’s estimation of the people’s faith in him or his confidence that people would blindly vote for the candidates he nominated, but in many places, he entered the election ring without changing the candidates. But the sitting MLAs and ministers were also defeated in the elections held the other day due to public opposition to them. Where the candidates were changed, KCR got good results.

Jagan Does Not Want To Repeat KCR’s Mistakes

Meanwhile, on the other hand, elections will be held in Andhra Pradesh in 2024. All the parties seem to be gearing up for the elections already. In the 2019 elections, YSRCP won 151 seats in 175 constituencies and formed the government. TDP got only 23 seats in this election. However, it is known that YSRCP President and CM Jagan has already focused on the 2024 elections. It is reported that Jagan is being careful not to commit the mistakes made by KCR.

Is that why RK moved away?

According to the information received by CM Jagan through various surveys, it is known that there is no opposition among the people. However, it is reported that there is strong opposition to the sitting MLAs in some areas. Reportedly, Jagan is planning to make sure they would not become a headache for the party. That’s why it is seen that he is selecting only those who are known as good leaders among the people and keeping the rest aside. Political analysts believe that Alla Ramakrishna Reddy resigned from the party and the post of MLA as he thought there was no chance of getting a ticket this time as he was thinking of changing Mangalagiri MLA.
