Jagan VS Revanth: CM Jagan’s Volunteer System in AP Earns Praise

CM Jagan has implemented a volunteer system in Andhra Pradesh to deliver government welfare schemes directly to people’s doorsteps, eliminating middlemen and corruption. This approach has greatly benefited the elderly and infants, covering over 90 percent of the state in providing pensions and other schemes through door-to-door services. While the opposition criticizes the system, some express the opinion that it is an ideal model for the country. In Telangana, contrasting experiences arise as people face difficulties applying for schemes, with beneficiaries rushing to offices for six guarantees. Stampede incidents have been reported, highlighting challenges in the application process.

In Andhra Pradesh, the administration, supported by over two and a half lakh volunteers, acts as a bridge between the government and the people. These volunteers, serving as sepoys, contribute to the success of the village and ward secretariat system launched in October 2019. Many commend the government’s innovative strategies and express appreciation for implementing development and welfare schemes efficiently at the grassroots level through volunteers. Social media comments suggest a preference for Jagan Sarkar’s administration over Congress’s rule in Telangana.
