Minister Chelluboina’s Press Meet After AP Cabinet Meeting

The Cabinet meeting which was held today at 11 AM under the chairmanship of CM YS Jagan in the first block of the State Secretariat has ended. It is known that the cabinet discussed many important issues and took many decisions. The Minister for Information and BC Welfare Chelluboina Venugopalakrishna disclosed this. He said that it has been proved that the poor are being helped and the YSRCP is doing what it promised in the election.

Good News for the Unemployed Youth

The Cabinet approved the notification of 6,100 posts under DSC. The minister also revealed that key decisions have been taken to ensure that students get a golden opportunity in the state. He said that important steps have been taken for the development of women especially to achieve empowerment and self-reliance. He revealed that the administration is working to fulfil the provisions included in the constitution of the state with reforms like those proposed by Mahatma Jyotirao Phule.

Assistance to Small Traders

“Financial assistance of Rs 18,750 in four instalments totalling Rs 75,000 will be provided to those in the age group of 45 to 60 years. As part of this, on February 16, funds will be received under the fourth tranche of the Cheyutha scheme,” said the minister. He added that the government would support the small traders. He explained that they gave a green signal for the release of funds to the tune of 5 thousand crores for SC, ST, BC and minority women. The minister revealed that this scheme, which started with 4.5 crores in the first tranche, has increased to 5 thousand crores in the fourth tranche. He stated that 26 lakh women have achieved self-sufficiency.

Secretary to Gram Panchayat

Minister Chelluboina explained that in an effort to uphold democracy, the decision to have a Panchayat Secretary for every Gram Panchayat was approved. He said that reforms have been brought in the administration to have a panchayat secretary along with the secretariat staff. He stated that a total of 13,171 gram panchayats will be appointed in all villages except those with less than 500 population. Finally, he expressed his anger over the false campaigns of the TDP and Jana Sena parties in the press.
