My fight is against THIS new form of Untouchability: CM Jagan

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that he is ready to fight against the untouchability that has changed its form and the petty ideology that is oppressing poor communities. On Friday, he spoke at the Samajika Samata Sankalpa Sabha at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium, Vijayawada. In this program, he unveiled the 125-foot statue of Dr BR Ambedkar and named it the ‘Statue of Social Justice’. He hailed Ambedkar as a great soul who changed the course of Indian history and pointed out that today’s ‘Statue of Social Justice’ (Ambedkar statue) is standing proof of his social, economic and political struggle. He said that the newspapers of the rich are distorting the even history. He reminded the people that if one looks at the yellow media, one can understand the level to which journalism has degraded.

‘THIS is a new form of Untouchability!’

CM Jagan lashed at the opposition saying, “Ignoring the government schools where the poor study, and preventing them from giving houses to the poor is a new form of untouchability. Writing conspiratorial news about the distribution of ‘study tablets’ to poor children is a new form of untouchability.” “Should children of the poor remain workers forever?” asked Jagan. He declared, “Untouchability has changed its form in the society and the fact that some people think the poor should not study in English medium schools is proof of this. Lies being peddled by some feudalistic minds is hurtful. But Ambedkar will continue to give inspiration to the struggles against feudalism and untouchability.”
