TDP: Chandrababu backstabs Undavalli Sridevi denying her the Bapatla MP ticket!
YSRCP chief and CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy had given Dr Undavalli Sridevi the Tadikonda ticket in the Guntur district, although she had no previous connection to politics, under the belief that educated women should be involved in legislative roles. However, she failed to honour this trust. Instead of capitalizing on the opportunity afforded to her, she took an opposing stance. Observing YSRCP’s political landscape, she opted for a different path. Now, it appears she has effectively ended her own political aspirations.

Recently, she fell victim to deception by trusting Chandrababu. Due to Jaganmohan Reddy’s stance against underperforming MLAs and strong opposition to Sridevi in the Tadikonda constituency, others were appointed as coordinators. Consequently, expecting denial of the Tadikonda ticket, she believed Chandrababu’s assurances and supported TDP in the MLC elections, criticizing Jagan on multiple occasions before eventually joining TDP.

Eventually, her hopes for a Bapatla MP ticket from TDP were dashed when Chandrababu awarded the ticket to Tenneti Krishna Prasad instead. Feeling deeply betrayed, she expressed her disillusionment on social media, tweeting, “Today I understand the true nature of politics… and who stands where.” She symbolically depicted Chandrababu’s backstabbing with a knife accompanied by a map of the Bapatla Parliament constituency.
