TDP Faces Setback in Rajya Sabha as Confusion Spreads Among its Cadre

The Telugu Desam Party introduced new politics to Telugu people with the slogan of “Telugu Vadi Atma Gauravam” creating a big impact with just one call. On March 29, 1982, NTR founded the Telugu Desam Party and remarkably brought it to power within just nine months. The decisions made by NTR as Chief Minister created significant sensations. After Chandrababu Naidu backstabbed NTR, the founder and president of TDP, and took over the party, TDP has gradually been losing its influence. At present, this party, which has a history of four decades, has fallen into confusion in terms of alliances. The party has reached a point where it cannot win elections without forming alliances with other parties, leading to confusion among its cadres.

TDP Address is Lost?

TDP is set to lose its presence in the Rajya Sabha. For the first time since its inception, the TDP will have no members in the Rajya Sabha. The terms of Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, CM Ramesh, and Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar are set to end by April 2. To elect members to the Rajya Sabha, 44 MLA votes are required. Considering the current strength of the YSRCP in the Legislative Assembly, it is certain that these three seats will go to the party.

Will the same situation occur in the Assembly?

Chandrababu Naidu, who boasts of a 40-year tenure in politics, currently does not hold even a single seat in the Rajya Sabha for TDP. YSRCP leaders predict that TDP will face a similar situation in the upcoming general elections for the Assembly as well. YSRCP leaders are confident that TDP will vanish in the wave of YSRCP’s overwhelming victory, and in the upcoming elections, YSRCP will win in all constituencies. Political analysts are saying that with Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, and Lokesh threatening to abolish the volunteer system if they come to power, there is no situation for TDP and Janasena won’t win even a single seat in the upcoming situation. If this scenario materializes, the TDP will cease to exist in the assembly, just as it has in the Rajya Sabha.
