TDP’s Shankaaravam Rallies Plunge into Chaos: Leaders Engage in Tug of War

Political heat rises in Andhra Pradesh with parties’ rallies and meetings ahead of election dates announcement. TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu is attracting people with rallies named ‘Ra Kadalira’. Chandrababu Naidu’s son and TDP Working President Nara Lokesh undertook a statewide padayatra under the banner ‘Yuva Galam’ and is currently reaching out to people with the ‘Sankharavam’ program.

Lokesh’s Sankharavam rallies are largely failing to draw crowds. Nara Lokesh held Sankharavam rallies yesterday in the constituencies of Pathapatnam, Palakonda, and Kurupam. At the Pathapatnam rally, Lokesh continued with his usual speech. Lokesh’s speech was, as usual, limited to accusations against the ruling party. Many people left the meeting midway, unable to listen to his words. During TDP’s pledge, the hall emptied out, leaving only the key leaders seated in the front rows by the end.

At the Palakonda rally, it was reported that a faction opposing the candidacy of the local TDP in-charge, Jayakrishna, staged a show of strength, indicating their objection to him receiving the party ticket. The rally reportedly turned chaotic due to this incident. On one side, the factions of Jayakrishna and Padala Bhudevi are lobbying for the ticket to be given to them, while on the other side, the local youth are demanding that an opportunity be given to Janasena, as per the participants of the rally.
