Vote Share of Each Party in AP Elections: What the Numbers Reveal

The results of the Andhra Pradesh elections came out in a way that no one expected. YSRCP, which was very confident of winning, was badly crushed as the TDP coalition achieved an unexpected victory. In this election, the TDP coalition won 164 seats, while YSRCP was limited to only 11 seats. The alliance also showed its strength in the Lok Sabha elections. TDP, BJP, and Janasena together won 21 MP seats, while YSRCP was restricted to 4 seats. There is interest among the public about how many votes each party managed in this election. According to ECI details, TDP received 1.53 crore votes, and YSRCP received 1.32 crore votes. Janasena got 28 lakh votes, and BJP got 9.5 lakh votes. The Congress party secured 5.8 lakh votes.

The TDP-Janasena-BJP alliance received a total of 55.43 % of the votes. TDP received 45.60 %, YSRCP 39.37 %, Janasena 8.53 %, BJP 2.83 %, Congress 1.73 %, and NOTA 1.09 %. The vote share of the Janasena party increased by 3 % compared to the last election. In the 2019 elections, Janasena received 5.53 % of the votes. Janasena will now be indicted by the Election Commission of India as a recognized party, due to this rise in its vote share.
