36 Killed As Bus Falls Into A Gorge In Jammu and Kashmir

A bus accident has occurred in Jammu and Kashmir. 36 people were killed when a bus carrying passengers fell into a valley by accident. Tens of passengers are injured and are being treated in hospital. With this incident, the region of Kashmir has been deeply saddened. President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed shock over this incident on X.

A bus with 55 passengers was travelling near Trungal-Assar in Doda District. The bus lost control in the most dangerous part of the valley and fell down 300 feet. Immediately after the accident, the locals responded and took relief measures. Security forces rushed to the spot immediately after receiving the information. The bus was crushed as it fell from the top. Jammu Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar said that the incident took place on the Batot-Kishtwar National Highway. He revealed that the relief efforts are going on vigorously. He announced that the injured and dead bodies were shifted to Kishtwar District Hospital and Government Medical College in Doda.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh himself is monitoring the relief efforts. We are in constant contact with the authorities. “We are getting details from Assar region from time to time,” he posted in X. Meanwhile, the President and the Prime Minister expressed shock over this accident.
