For election management, the ECI officials have already toured all the states in the country. They have completed the preparations related to the elections. The ECI planned to release the schedule this month on the 13th. However, on February 14th, Election Commissioner Anoop Chandra Pandey resigned from his position. Following this, on March 8, another commissioner, Arun Goel, also resigned from his post. As a result, the positions of election commissioners became vacant. Consequently, the release of the schedule has been delayed.
