Himachal Pradesh in Political Turmoil Trouble Shooter DK Enters the Field

Himachal Pradesh politics is heating up as the BJP strives to gain power. Recently, during the Rajya Sabha elections, six MLAs from the ruling Congress party and three independents cross-voted, sparking speculation that they will join the BJP. This has caused significant turmoil within the Congress party.

Amid these events, there were rumours yesterday that Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu resigned. However, he clarified in the evening that he hasn’t resigned and accused others of spreading false information to push him towards the BJP. He affirmed that Congress is prepared to demonstrate its strength in the Assembly. In response, the Congress leadership sent DK Shivakumar to tackle the situation in Himachal Pradesh. He has already arrived in the state and is assessing the situation. It appears he’s aiming to engage with discontented Congress MLAs and Independents. Senior party leaders Bhupesh Baghel and Bhupender Singh are reportedly supporting DK in his efforts.
