Maharashtra Seat Distribution: Congress Claims Its Contesting Grounds!

The Maha Vikas Aghadi Alliance in Maharashtra has finalized a seat-sharing agreement. Under the deal, the Shiv Sena, led by former chief minister Uddhav Thackeray, will contest 20 out of the state’s 48 Lok Sabha seats. The Congress party will contest 18 seats, while the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), led by Sharad Pawar, will contest 10 seats.

Shiv Sena (UBT) plans to share two seats with regional parties Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA), while independent candidate Raju Shetty will contest under Pawar’s share. Additionally, Shiv Sena (UBT) is set to contest in four out of the six Lok Sabha seats in Mumbai. The Mumbai North East seat is expected to go to VBA.
