PM Kisan Scheme Cash Deposit in Farmers’ Accounts Today

The central government has announced good news for farmers. It informed that the 16th instalment of funds under the PM Kisan scheme will be credited to the farmers’ accounts today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will directly deposit Rs. 2,000 into the accounts of beneficiaries from Yavatmal district in Maharashtra. Under this scheme, the central government provides financial assistance of Rs. 6,000 per year to farmers as investment support, which is disbursed in three instalments of Rs. 2,000 every four months directly into the farmers’ accounts. Till now, a total of 15 instalments have been disbursed, and today, the 16th instalment of funds will be given. The last instalment was deposited into the accounts of beneficiaries on November 23rd of the previous year. With the 15th instalment, 9,01,73,669 farmers benefitted.

To receive PM Kisan funds, eligible farmers must have a bank account linked with NPCI and Aadhar. They also need to have completed e-KYC. The investment support is credited directly into the farmers’ accounts through the DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) method.
