Rajiv Kumar Announces Readiness for General Elections

Reports suggest that the schedule for the Lok Sabha and several state assembly elections could be announced in the last week of February. Election Commission officials are already fully engaged in election duties. The Central Election Commission has made a significant announcement. The Election Commission has clarified that they are prepared for the upcoming general elections as well as the assembly elections for various states. In this regard, Rajiv Kumar, the Chief Commissioner of the Central Election Commission, visited Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha, yesterday. After his visit, he talked to the media in Bhubaneswar and shared important information.

Rajiv Kumar stated that all preparations have been completed for the upcoming elections to the Lok Sabha as well as the state assemblies of Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, and Sikkim. He mentioned that arrangements are being made to provide webcasting facilities in 50% of the polling centres in Odisha. He stated that strong measures are being taken to prevent any undesirable incidents during the elections in Andhra Pradesh. He also mentioned that a significant deployment of police forces is planned in the northeastern states during the elections. He conveyed that inspections have been completed in all states and that officials are prepared for the elections. He revealed that the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) have been checked and are ready for polling.
