Akula Lalitha: Yet Another BRS Key Leader Resigns – Likely To Join Congress

The number of defectors in BRS is increasing day by day. Leaders who expected tickets from the party are getting disappointed with their names not appearing in the list of candidates. In view of that, there have been many resignations from the party with more and more BRS leaders joining rival parties. Some of them waited till the B-Forms were given with a small hope somewhere.

They hoped that even at the last minute, CM KCR would recognize their candidacy. But that did not happen and KCR did not change his mind. After their hopes were dashed, the number of BRS leaders resigning has increased, even though they are yet to decide which other party to join.

Nizamabad district BRS key leader and former MLC Akula Lalitha has resigned from the party. She also gave up the post of Telangana Women’s Cooperative Development Chairman and sent her resignation letter to CM KCR. Akula Lalitha criticized that during the BRS regime, the administration was being run entirely by MLAs. She said that the lower level has no value and they are only seen as workers carrying party flags. She expressed regret over the suffering of Sarpanchs, MPTCs, MPPs and ZPTCs calling it indescribable. She declared that she was leaving BRS since these issues bothered her. Meanwhile, it seems that Akula Lalitha is likely to join the Congress.

Experts are analysing that since so many leaders are leaving the party, BRS has little chance of winning this time. It is a well-known fact that those who have been in BRS since the beginning and who have fought for the movement are not getting the posts. Leaders who joined in the middle are getting preferential treatment. Many leaders have already disclosed this publicly. In BRS, what that family says is the final word, the rest of the leaders and their words have no value. Looking at Akula Lalitha’s anguish, all these seem to be true.
