Amrapali Takes on Additional Responsibilities with the HGCL

The government entrusts another significant role to the dynamic IAS officer, K Amrapali, currently serving as HMDA Joint Commissioner, has been appointed as the Managing Director of Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited (HGCL) and the Project Director for the Outer Ring Road, adding to her responsibilities. The Chief Secretary of the Municipal and Urban Development Department, Metropolitan Commissioner Dr. M. Dana Kishore, issued an official order to this effect. Presently, Amrapali holds the position of Managing Director for HMDA’s IT and Estate departments and is overseeing the Moosi Riverfront Development.

In related developments, Dr. M. Dana Kishore, who also serves as the HMDA Commissioner in addition to his other responsibilities, is set to conduct a comprehensive review of HMDA on the 6th of this month. During a recent visit to the HMDA office, he engaged in discussions and reviewed various projects and urgent applications with the authorities.

Amrapali, hailing from Visakhapatnam, has garnered recognition beyond the Telugu states, securing the 39th rank in the 2010 UPSC civil services examination. Her journey in the IAS includes roles as a Trainee IAS, Joint Collector, and City Commissioner. In 2018, she served as the Urban and Rural Collector of Warangal District and subsequently took on crucial responsibilities in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) during her deputation.
