Are You Voting: Know These Important Points

Political parties have been campaigning for so many days. Now, the date for assembly elections has approached in Telangana. And on Tuesday, the campaign ended at 5 p.m. Also, Section 144 came into effect, and wine shops will also be closed for 48 hours.

On the other hand, the government has announced holidays for all organizations. The election process will be held on 30th November From 7 am to 5 pm. Voters who go to vote should follow some precautions and instructions.

A photo ID is required to vote; otherwise, election officials will not allow you to vote. Voter’s cards with photos were distributed door to door by election staff, only for polling stations, voter list serial number information. One of the 12 identity cards prescribed by the Election Commission must be carried with the voter. A unique digital identity card issued by the Union Ministry of Empowerment of Justice is sufficient for persons with special disabilities.

Precautions Before Voting

Cell phones, cameras and laptops should not be taken inside the polling booth. If you try to take a selfie inside the booth illegally, there is a possibility of arrest. Also, your vote will not be counted. Party symbols, colourful clothes and hats should not be worn near the polling station.

  • Employment Guarantee Job Card
  • Bank/Postal Account Book with photograph
  • Driving license
  • PAN card
  • Passport
  • Pension document with photo
  • Identity cards with photos issued to central and state government employees
