BRS Faces Heavy Setback as Another Leader Resigns

As the Lok Sabha elections approach, the BRS Party faces a series of shocks. Already, GHMC’s former Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin has joined the Congress, wrapping himself in the party’s flag, and Vikarabad district’s ZP Chairperson Sunitha Mahender Reddy has also resigned. She has sent her resignation letters to BRS chief KCR, indicating their departure from the party. Today in Hyderabad’s Gandhi Bhavan, in the presence of AICC in-charge Deepa Das Munshi, they are joining the Congress along with their spouse Mahender Reddy.

The departure of key leaders from the BRS party one after another is reportedly causing unrest within the party. Recent meetings with CM Revanth Reddy held by former GHMC Mayor Bonthu Rammohan and GHMC Deputy Mayor Srilatha Shoban Reddy suggest they are ready to leave their current positions and join the Congress party soon. Senior BRS leader Teegala Krishna Reddy has already announced his decision to leave the party. The Congress party, which faced setbacks in the assembly elections within the Greater region, is focusing on strengthening its position. It is known that they are encouraging new joinings as part of this effort.
