BRS MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy Resigns: Speaker Om Birla Accepts

BRS party MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy has resigned. After being elected MLA from Dubbaka, Prabhakar tendered his resignation for the Medak MP seat. In New Delhi, Prabhakar submitted his resignation as MP along with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.

Prabhakar Reddy was elected as Medak MP in 2014 and 2019. On behalf of the BRS Party, he fought in Parliament on Telangana issues. Prabhakar Reddy contested from Dubbak’s seat in the recently held assembly elections. Prabhakar Reddy became MLA after defeating sitting BJP MLA Raghunandan Rao. Prabhakar Reddy gave up the post of MP as he had to continue in the same position as per the constitution. After examining the resignation letter, Speaker Om Birla accepted it.

On the occasion of his resignation, Prabhakar Reddy responded on the stage of ‘X’. He recalled serving two terms as a Member of Parliament. He thanked all the people of the Medak Parliamentary Constituency for giving him the opportunity to serve by winning two times with a vast majority. As a Medak MP, he recalled his services to the people, development works and his association with the for ten years.
