BRS To Congress Migration Begins Already: 10 Greater MLAs To Defect?

Hyderabad: The Telangana Assembly election results were announced on December 3 and the Congress won a landslide victory. As they have a full majority, Congress is preparing to form the government. Congress has emerged as the single largest party in Telangana by winning 64 constituencies. If we include the CPI, which contested in alliance with them, Congress has a strength of 65 seats. BRS party is limited to 39 seats. In this background, political analysts say that MLAs jumping from BRS to Congress has already started.

10 BRS MLAs To Congress

In this context, analysts are predicting that the 10 BRS MLAs who won in Greater Hyderabad are going to join Congress. It is known that one or two leaders have already come in touch with the Congress leaders to this extent and held discussions. KCR too had inducted the MLAs who had won on behalf of the Congress in the past, into the BRS party. So analysts say that BRS does not even have the moral right to talk about this matter. Additionally, it is known that even the MLAs coming to Congress from BRS are citing KCR’s past behaviour as an example.

History Repeats

Political analysts predict that MLAs who won on behalf of the BRS party may have another motive: If are in the opposition party, they will not have the opportunity to fulfil the promises made to the people and develop their constituency. Although BRS got a good majority in the 2018 elections, KCR started a new culture by inducting 12 people from Congress into his party. Now, following the same formula, the Congress will integrate the BRS MLAs. It has become very interesting to see how many defectors will come out of BRS when the Congress government is fully formed.
