CM Revanth Meets OM Birla: Submits Resignation To Lok Sabha Membership

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced that he has resigned from the Lok Sabha membership. “Both Kodangal and Malkajgiri are my life breath till the end,” he posted on X. He tweeted this after resigning from Lok Sabha membership. He said that he has resigned from the Lok Sabha membership today, this resignation is only for his MP position, in his mind the place of the people of Malkajgiri is permanent. He said that the connection with the people here, who sent him to the Parliament as a questioning voice, is eternal. He said that Malkajgiri is as special as Kodangal was during his political reign. He said that the credit for introducing him to the country belongs to the people of Malkajgiri.

He said that he had fought on behalf of the people for five years as the questioning voice that they had been waiting for. He said that in the background of extensive responsibilities, he may not have been able to give as much time as he personally wanted, but the people of Malkajgiri understand his situation with sympathy. He said that he was sent for the defence of Telangana. He thanked the people of Malkajgiri by name. He posted on X that he will be forever indebted to Malkajgiri.

Revanth met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla in Delhi, yesterday. He submitted his resignation letter on this occasion. Along with Revanth Reddy, former in-charge of Congress’ Telangana affairs Manickam Tagore was also present in the meeting with the Speaker. After submitting his resignation to the Speaker, Revanth Reddy left for Hyderabad. He won as MP from Malkajigiri in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Earlier, Revanth Reddy was sworn in as Chief Minister at LB Stadium. He went to Delhi to discuss the allocation of portfolios in the new cabinet and the selection of six others to the cabinet.
