CM Revanth Reddy Drives Efforts to Revive BILT Mill for Economic Regeneration

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy conducted a review meeting with senior officials to discuss the revival of “Ballarpur Industries Limited” (BILT) in Kamalapuram, Mulugu district. The mill, specializing in wood pulp for textiles, had closed down in 2014, resulting in the loss of jobs for around 750 families. The Chief Minister is spearheading efforts to reopen the mill, aiming to provide employment opportunities and stimulate local job creation.

Following a National Company Law Tribunal ruling, Finquest Financial Solutions Private Limited now holds the assets of BILT. In a meeting at the CM Secretariat with Finquest’s MD Hardik Patel, ITC Paper Boards Division CEO Vadiraj Kulkarni, and relevant officials, plans for the factory’s renovation were discussed. The government’s role and potential actions were deliberated upon.
