CM Revanth Reddy Raises Concerns on BRS Acquisition of 22 Land Cruisers

The Congress government has consistently accused the BRS government of accumulating debt, but the BRS government argues that it is focused on creating assets rather than liabilities. In response to Congress’s releasing a white paper on Telangana’s debts, KTR, in a similar move, also released a white paper. Revanth Reddy questioned the government’s purchase of 22 new Land Cruiser vehicles, suggesting that such acquisitions cannot be deemed government assets.

Revanth asserted that during his tenure as CM, he had instructed officials against unnecessary expenditures, including the procurement of new vehicles. Despite this, the BRS president purchased 22 Land Cruisers, allegedly hiding them in Vijayawada with the intent of becoming CM again. An official reportedly informed Revanth about the acquisition 10 days after taking office. Revanth emphasized that these vehicles, costing around three crore rupees each, belong to the government and will be reclaimed.
