CM Revanth Reddy Visits Medaram: Offers Prayers at the Jatara

During the Sammakka Sarakka Jatara, CM Revanth Reddy arrived at Medaram in a special helicopter from Begumpet. On this occasion, the festival organizers and Minister Seethakka extended a grand welcome to him. Subsequently, CM Revanth Reddy visited and offered his prayers to the deities Sammakka and Saralamma in Medaram.

CM Revanth Reddy mentioned that he has a special connection with Mulugu district and Minister Seethakka. He recalled that all the major events in his political journey were initiated from Mulugu. He also mentioned that the ‘Haath Se Haath’ Jodo Yatra was started from here. CM Revanth Reddy stated that the government has sanctioned Rs. 110 crores for the arrangements of the Medaram Jatara. He expressed that whenever rulers oppress the people, someone will always stand up against them.

Asia’s largest tribal festival, Throngs of devotees flock to the famed Medaram Sammakka Saralamma Jatara in Telangana, celebrated as the Kumbh Mela of Telangana. Yesterday, a significant event commenced in Medaram. Sammakka was consecrated by the chief priest. With the arrival of Sammakka’s mother from Chilakalagutta to the Medaram shrine, the grand festival achieved its full splendour. As Saralamma, Pagiddaraju and Govindaraja had already joined the throne, the prayers of the devotees became louder. From Chilakalagutta, the priests and Vaddelu Sammakka were brought and consecrated by the devotees.
