Committee Assigned to Review Kaleshwaram Project with 4-Month Deadline

The National Dam Safety Authority has formed a committee to inspect the designs and structures of Medigadda, Annaram, and Sundilla barrages in the Kaleswaram project. Led by J. Chandrasekhar Iyer, former chairman of the Central Water Commission, the five-member committee will examine the constructions and identify any potential issues within four months.

Former CM KCR announced the completion of a complex irrigation project involving multiple structures like barrages, reservoirs, substations, pump houses, tunnels, and canals within four years. Additionally, he made comments about an upcoming visit to Bondala Gadda, expressing concern about how they will be received. Notably, BRS leaders have recently visited Medigadda.
